Sabaku House is located very close to the Joshua Tree Visitor Center and the National Park. A spacious house with modern design and amenities is a perfect base camp for your desert adventure.
I found this house in Joshua Tree Village. The house was built in the late '50s. It had gone through several remodelings and had a horrible 80's finish with popcorn ceiling and vinyl floor. A lot of spaces were compartmentalized and felt small. Our strategy was to open up everything, strip out all of the bad finishes, and keep it simple.
We opened up the entire kitchen and dining area to give an open feel to the space. You can talk to your friends while you cook with a glass of wine, and have a lovely conversation.
The large living room is the perfect place to chill after a long day of hiking in the national park.
