Y-Studio

Y-Studio is a residential remodeling project for a very specific type of client. The client is a very active single male in his 40s. He is engaged in many different activities, which should be accomodated by the house. The house is too big for a single man, and configured to be rented out via spacesharing service like airbnb. Separate entrances are created for tenants to enter their room.

Large skylight brings in lights to interior space while providing sense of openness. Skylight also functions as exposed storage for bicycles and skis. Compartmentalized spaces merge together at common area which includes kitchen, dining, and living area.
